About Dr. Oxley
Dr. Oxley went on to complete his residency in Plastic Surgery at Vancouver General, UBC, St. Paul’s and B.C. Children’s’ Hospitals. He trained with globally recognized surgeons Dr. Andrea Pusic, Dr. Patty Clugston, Dr. Richard Warren, and Dr. Nick Carr. Dr. Oxley also spent time training internationally in London and Paris prior to starting his practice in the Lower Mainland.
Since 2003, Dr. Oxley has worked at both Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Royal Columbian Hospital. During this time, he has performed all types of Plastic Surgery. He performs cosmetic surgery at the Valley Surgery Centre in Surrey BC.
Dr. Oxley has been promoted to Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia Division of Plastic Surgery. He was a lead organizer for the Fraser Valley Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day event held annually in the Lower Mainland for many years. His other charity and community contributions include being an Olympic Village Surgeon at the 2010 Olympic Games and working with Operation Smile in China and Bolivia. On those overseas missions Dr. Oxley performed cleft lip and burn surgery on underprivileged children.
Dr. Oxley was a member of the Canadian National Triathlon Team. He was also a founding rider of the RBC GranFondo and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the White Rock Museum.
Dr. Oxley lives in the lower mainland with his loving wife and fabulous children. He loves being outdoors with his family, especially skiing.

He is also the head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Peace Arch Hospital.
Dr. Oxley is a member of the British Columbia Section of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
He is also a member of the Canadian and BC Medical Associations.

In addition to being board certified by the RCPSC, Dr. Oxley is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The ASPS is “dedicated to improving the care of the surgical patient and to safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment.”

Since 2006, Dr. Oxley has held an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Oxley is a member of the CPSBC. In order to receive membership and license to practice plastic surgery in BC, Dr. Oxley was required to meet the organization’s established standards and demonstrate a high standard of practice and conduct. The CPSBC’s primary goal continues to be “the protection and safety of the patients, and the quality of care they receive from licensed physicians in BC”.
